For many years now, we have been involved in a variety of Erasmus projects. These are projects with other European countries which will either be professional development for staff or projects directly involving pupils. We have been lucky enough to secure funding for the benefit of our school community.
Staff development projects have included trips to Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland and more to learn about their practice and the benefits this could bring to our children. We tend to shadow inquiry based learning, phenomena based learning, Reggio Emilia, Steiner, Montessori and magpie ideas which would be easily adapted and shaped to form our own, unique curriculum with our National Curriculum at the heart.
We have also visited Estonia, who are at the forefront of advanced technology, and brought back some wonderful ideas to embed into our curriculum. Take a look at some of the reports below for a deeper insight into what we have learnt then take a look at our curriculum page to see how this has been embedded.
