Welcome everyone to Perranuthnoe class! We are year 1 and year 2.
Our teachers are Miss Burns (Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri) and Miss Faucher (Mondays and Wednesday am) and our fabulous TA is Mrs Fish.
In Perranuthnoe Class we like to explore the many different ways of learning, we are active learners and we like to be busy!
Indoors we have a creative environment that enhances our learning. We get busy in the workshop, designing and making models using a variety of materials. We draw, paint and create in the art area, we use loose parts to build small world environments to aid storytelling and we use a variety of construction materials to help problem solve and work practically on mathematical concepts. We share a variety of stories in the library area and retell using puppets and props, and if we need a space for quiet times, we can visit the peaceful Cosy Cave.
We love to explore our beautiful outdoor area. We enjoy working as a team, using large equipment such as crates, tyres, planks of wood and wheels, we like to transport water and get messy in the mud pit and we have the space to run and climb, developing our gross motor skills and core strength.
We are creative in the mud kitchen, engaging in role play where we design menus and create potions. We also have a beautiful garden where we observe nature closely, developing our curiosity about the world, whether this be insects, birds or a variety of plants in their natural habitat.
We very much look forward to our visits to the forest, where we explore, create, make dens, build, climb, role play and work as team. We love to observe the different times of the year as it happens and we like to be busy creating seasonal crafts.
Please contact any of us via Seesaw, school email or at the beginning or end of the day, our door is always open or you can make an appointment to see us.
